Buddies GT500 and my Z06

Buddy got some Forgeline wheels for his GT500 and it was almost 60 and sunny today so we took some pics.

Yeah, I am not a real big fan of mustangs, but I got to say, that body style with 2 tone and strips looks sexy as hell. And thats almost any color combo as well, not just the red and black.

lol we didn't run them. My car spins all over the place, I'm guessing he would pull me pretty good. 145 more HP is pretty hard to over come. My z06 is basically stock, CAI and 3.90 gears.

I really don't check the MPG but the computer say it gets around 18mpg in the city. I did check it one time on the E-Way and got 25mpg with it.

My friends gt500 went 12.1 @ 116 stock recently, and my old C5z06 with only intake/exhaust only went 11.9 @ 121 years ago. The Z weighing 3150 vs the 3600ish (or around there I forget) makes a big difference, but you'll never know until you try.

Thats a good time with stock tires, these cars make a ton down low and can be hard to 60'. He has had the Vette down the 1320 but traction was not worth a crap, his exhaust is stock but it does have a CAI and 3:90 gears. Thats a great time for your C5, Im sure he and I both need the driver mod. LOL.

As far as a race, yeah those C5 Z06's are far underrated. My friend has a silver 385HP one that was running consistent 12.5's with a cheap hand held tuner and the stock tires. Since then he's added the BFG DR's, long tubes, exhaust and a cam and he's spinning to 12.1's. I have an 04 Cobra with a Whipple and he's a pesky SOB. LOL!!! Good races between him and I.
