Pretty cool idea from Cadillac. Basically, it's $1500/month to drive any Cadillac they offer, including CTS-V and ATS-V. Only offered in NYC as of right now.

I'd consider it if GM or Ford did something similar with a more reasonable price tag.

Sounds pretty cool, but realistically $18,000 a year is probably my total costs for six vehicles annually, including maintenance, depreciation, insurance etc. I couldn't see spending that to drive just one Cadillac at a time. Probably worth it to somebody, but not me.

Yeah Cadillac's model is definitely for the guy who has everything with a lot of disposable income.

Like I said, if GM or Ford had a similar plan that was reasonable, I'd be interested.

im not real sure how that works on the insurance side. i know they say dont worry about it. but that doesnt really work that way with the medical coverage and liability coverage.

I'm thinking they are apart of the driver pool of approved drivers from application side...

It would be worth it for a month or two. I wonder if there is a disclaimer for trackdays....

In 5 years it would cost $90K and you have 0 to show for it. At least if you bought a CTS-V it would still be worth around $30K after 5 years.
I get it with the unlimited miles and changing vehicles (18 times per year). Can only keep a vehicle for 30 days and V vehicles for 5 consecutive days from March-October.

Pretty cool for someone in a situation where it is sensible/useful/helpful.

I've been enjoying my ATS-V all winter :gr_drivin but it sure would have been nice to swap it out for an Escalade or XT5 a few times so far.

well that answers the insurance part. however those limits and coverages in my opinion are way to low for someone who can afford to pat 1500 a month for a car and insurance on just ONE vehicle.

They say you can put it on hold at any time. It'd be cool to do this for 1 or 2 months a year. Get a new CTS-V for the summer and a platinum escalade for winter. Drive the mess out of them and take a vacation or two with them.
