Body work

Who here does body work? I need some minor work done on a mustang. Need rear panel pulled(was hit lightly in rear end). Have the replacement bumper cover, decklid, and tail lights. Just need it pulled straight. Also have a small dimple in rear drivers wheel well lip(not from being hit in the rear). Need it possibly filled and painted. Car did have an Ohio salvage title but Michigan Sec of State screwed up as normal and gave me a normal Michigan title for it. I was quoted a price from a place and then when I went there to ask when I could drop the car off, there was magically more money needed to do it. I don't mind paying what it is quoted but definitely don't want to deal with someone like that.

Just do it

If you want the job done right for the lowest price, buy the tools and do it yourself. The nicest thing about paint and body filler is if you fuck it up sand it down and do it again. It generally takes me 200 to 400 hours and $1000 to $1500 worth of material (sandpaper, paint, primer, clearcoat, rework, buffing compound) to paint something like that if every other part is reusable. Hope this helps............remember most shops paint over dirt and rust!
