Blue Raptor Shots

It is the old metro lofts lease building. I don't live there, and I'm not a huge fan the building or its units. Unless you live in one of the two penthouses (which are both occupied) they all have shit floorplans and cheap building materials. I'm making that sound worse than it is, but I wouldn't want to live in most of the units.

I live close by and I barely hear the train. When I'm at my boys penthouse, it's like the train is in the fucking room with you. He had dozens of interior leaks from the ceiling that ruined some very expensive furniture. The built in grill on the deck wasn't anchored properly and warped the shit out of the boards. Other than that, totally worth the $17k a year in property taxes.

The second building is all rental at this point. The original building is all individual owned or rented that I know. Seems pretty full in the rental building, but I heard they just dropped the prices. $1200 for the 2 bedroom, which seems like a good deal if you split rent, until you see that the second bedroom walks directly into the kitchen and the walls aren't ceiling height and any shenanigans will be heard house wide.

But other than that he thinks they are great

Yeah, what can I say? They really aren't that bad, but they feel too apartment-y to me. No private garage is a dealbreaker for me personally. Not a big fan of communal hallways either.

That is unless you can snag a foreclosure for $90-125k. Then it be worth it. There was one in there for like $79k but it was only 7xx sq/ft. Pass.

thanks for the heads up. ill pass then. I hadnt been inside one yet, but i wasnt aware of the shared garages...wont work for me at all. im guessing your buddy is the one with the gray GT with the m plate?

Yeah, he's an SVT guy so he's always borrowing cool toys.

Do you want to buy or rent? The Grant Park lofts on 4th Street are really nice with 2 car garages. They started out asking $650k. There are some in the $200s now. When someone gets foreclosed they'll be in the $1xx's.

Id be looking to buy. Are the Grant Park Lofts the ones down by ACO? Those seem pretty decent. You ever see the wierd random house over there with the VW Corrado in the garage? Any idea what that place is? It looks like a fully furnished loft home, but nobody ever stays there

Yeah, the ones by ACO. The two car garage and rooftop decks are sweet. The only thing I don't like it the vinyl siding on the back of the building.

The house with the VW is a friend of mines. It's a really, really sweet house inside. The only thing I don't like is the plywood style cabinetry. Everything else is awesome. Radiant floors everywhere, awesome deck space upstairs that fully opens inside/outside with a bar and shower, commercial grade kitchen, the garage opens on both sides to drive multiple cars into the interior courtyard and you can pull cars into the house. They live there full time now. He actually rented one of the only lofts I would have bought in Metro Lofts for a long time. It was the corner unit by the tracks, and it originally sold for like $4xx and when it sold in foreclosure the asking was under $150k.

yeah its pretty much the sweetest house ever. I love the clear garage door, although its not a great house if you like much privacy

what kind of suspension does this thing have? I thought that was supposed to be the appeal to this, but it looks like its fairly standard travel and still a solid axle in the back.

i dont remember it being any wider than normal either :headscrat

it is a BA looking truck though, the only thing i really dont like is the grille - wtf

Raptor unique springs, Internal bypass Fox Racing shocks that have 11+ inches of travel in the front and 12+ inches of travel in the rear, big unique aluminum control arms, etc. It's 8 inches wider than a regular F-150, hence the front running lights.
