Black Grille... Yay or Nay?

The new Fusion has chrome bars and surround on the upper grille and black lower grille and I figured it might look better if it was all the same. I bought a can of Plastidip and figured I'd give it a try.

What do you think? If I leave it black, I'll do the chrome fog light surrounds black as well.

I would just try it black, if you don't like it just peel it. I did my CTS-V grills and fog light surrounds as well as the wheels, never peeled after running through the car wash etc. for over a year. My G8 was done for probably two years, same thing.

prep it better, there's no reason it should peel off. i've personally had it on cars for over 3 years rain and snow with many washes without issue.

Black unless you chrome the lower to match OEM upper. That can get expensive fast though.

Just hit 14,000 miles today in my Charger that I dipped the first week I had it. Dip is still there.

I change my mind a lot and like that it's reversible. When I sell, I like to able to go back to stock as well... Stock springs, stock tune, tint at least off the windshield.. I would think a stock fusion would be easier to sell than a modified one.

I like it, but think a gloss black to match the fog surrounds and lower grille would look even better. Ford should offer a blackout package to delete the chrome trim. It'd make the Fusion look 100x better IMO.
