Best places to search for private party used car listings?

Been using all the usual suspects... Cars.com, Autotrader, Car Gurus. Most of the listings are dealers and priced accordingly. It is very rare to find a private party listing their vehicle there.

Where else should I look? I'm primarily searching non-local as the used car market up here is slim pickins for anything that is interesting, rust-free, and not a truck/SUV. Where are people listing their cars online? Is it really mostly just Craigslist? Even with Search Tempest it's a PITA as everyone throws in so many irrelevant keywords and/or the listing has always expired.

ebay for random vehicle searching. Although, if you have in-depth details to give, word of mouth has proven to work well. Anything specific that you're after? PM me with more info if you would like.

I was searching for a 94-95 Mustang for the last couple months and I was finding the most cars by far on Craigslist...
You have to keep clicking around though and searching different cities/areas.

I heard that these Facebook "groups" have taken over as well for enthusiast car stuff.
Corral.net used to be my go-to website for all things Mustang, but that website has seemingly died over the last 5 years. The ones who remain there say that the Mustang FB groups have killed the site.

What kind of vehicle are you looking for?

Just buy a vehicle already, there are lots full of vehicles all over the place....New, Used, Certified Used, Crapboxes...Non-certified crap boxes... Heaps...piles... ..projects... Trades... Repos...

Not trying to hijack but mine might be for sale soon. I will let you know.

I searched daily for months on end for an SLP bowtie grill for my car using this. Definitely the fastest way to hit a 500 mile radius from here. Never did buy one, a guy from New York wouldn't ship it with me paying over item cost plus shipping cost just for his time.
