Bent Gas pedal??

How do you guys normally repair your bent gas pedals? Heat them up and bend them back or cut them and reweld them with reinforcements behind them? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

before you take it off pull it up with your hand till it feels right, then take it off and box it and gusset it where you can
