Throwing a "moving out of the country" party tomorrow, and I am not preparred....

I am asking for people to bring side dishes. My girlfriend will be handling an enormous salad, and deviled eggs.

I am on BBQ detail.

I am good on the grill, but I don't want to do the standard crappy hot dogs and frozen burgers. I am thinking 20 bratwurts and chicken with a ton of BBQ sauce.
Planning on getting all thats needed at Costco. Should I just get a few pounds of boneless breasts, wings, pork loin instead?

I need some ideas. It might rain tomorrow (chicago) too, so I have to be able to do everything on the range if needed....

Depends on how long you want to be on the grill. A brisket will take all day but will feed lots of people. Beer can chicken is easy enough but with 25 people your looking at 6-8 whole chickens.

You could get 20 peices of chicken parts for like 8 bucks, grill up a bunch of vegetable shishkabobs (squash, onion, zucchini, bell peppers), then do 2 racks of ribs

I'd do the ole Dogs and burn some burgers, then throw in some boneless chicken (dark or white who cares its free to 25 people! ) probably 15 pieces worth, then some brats as well (dozen+ ) . Hope they are bringing all the {good} beer, you'll need it.

Brats, hamburgers, dog and some chicken breats. That'll about cover everybody, maybe you could do a pok loin, if you can cook it slow enough on the grill.

Good idea. Maybe use chicken legs thighs and bone in stuff slathered in bbq sauce instead of breasts. What country are you moving to?

Try Pork chops, cheap, cook in good time, taste GREAT with some sweet baby rays, Just had this last night for dinner
Pork chops, hot dogs, Burgers, chicken all easy and wont kill the bank

Oh buddy are you gonna owe me for this one!

~ Meatball Subs ~

Every time I’ve done this @ a BBQ it has was
a very big hit!

Go to Gordon’s Food Service & purchase :

- One lager can of their pizza sauce.
- Two large bags of small meatballs.
- One large bag of shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Several bags of hot dog buns.
- Two large trays.

Heat the meatballs & pizza sauce together in a crock pot.
Spoon 4 to 5 meatballs into each hot dog bun, then top
with a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese. Then line them up
on a serving tray, serve them up & watch yours guest get
happy!

The great things about this is :

- It is a nice alternative to hot dogs & hamburgers.
- It is fairly inexpensive to serve – yet seems more costly.
- It doesn’t take up “room” on your grill.
- You can fill up a tray of these meatball subs in just a few minutes!

If you follow my recipe to the letter – you’ll have success.
