Battery Relocation - What to do with the ground?

This is the first time I've relocated a battery on any vehicle. I'm mounting the battery in the back of my Fox-body. I've been trying to read up to see what I should do with the ground. Some say just having the battery ground to the chassis, and another wire from block to chassis is good enough. Others say that you need to run a wire from the battery directly to the block. Which way is the right way? Will just grounding to the chassis work?
 
Do a good short batt to chassis, I got a 0 gauge batt to the rear sub frame, and 3 from motor to chassis and works fine, if you have the stock motor ground straps id do one good motor to ground 0 gauge and see if it works, if it cranks slow or the ground gets hot u need more.
 
Pretty much same here. I have a short ground from the battery to the rear subframe and a ground from the engine to the front subframe, no issues for the last couple years.
 
Okay. I wasn't sure if there would be any problems with that much current going through the chassis, but I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the help.
 
I did the same, but also ran a 0/1 from the battery ground to a starter bolt.

I was worried about having low amperage to the starter when trying to spin over a High Compression 454

This is the best idea. If u weld a stud in the rear to the cage and go to the battery from it, then also weld 1 or 2 studs on you bar under your dash, it gives multiple points for attaching a good ground.
