Battery cable routing question

I'm in the middle of wiring a hot rod with a remote mounted battery.

I've had mixed opinions and want some ideas/advice.

The battery is mounted in the truck cab. I need power and ground cables routed. I've heard a few suggestions to tie the positive cable from the battery to the starter and starter to the alternator.

I've had suggestions stating to run 2 cables. 1 for the alt and 1 for the stater.

Same with ground. I've had some say run a dedicated gnd to the block from the battery and some say to run gnd from batt to frame and frame to block with proper gauge cable.

I have always run dedicated lines for both the starter and alternator, which use different size cables anyway. I also made a main ground post and ran ground lines to that rather than use the frame.

Just my .02....grr

Why not put a post somewhere under the hood. Run the main line to that and then branch it off to the starter and alternator from there?

On my car I have two wires one to the alternator and one to the starter. I used the frame as the ground. Never have had a issue with it.
