basement block sealer paint

So, I need to do this.
Trying to clean house and post for sale.
I want to paint basement walls, and eventually floor.
Had some work done at the floor, so there is new cement and needs to be painted.
When I bought, it had just a latex or some fairly cheap paint, it held up ok, but after 15yrs, needs a re-do.

Cinder block walls, painted before, probably with cheap stuff, just looking to clean it up.

Who has used what?

Zinsser Watertite works OK. Latex isn't as good but doesn't stink as bad. I recommend scraping with an old putty knife first, then wire brush, then run 120 on a 6" electric DA sander. Don't forget to wear a 3m P100 filter. The DA sander will knock down the high spots in a hurry so it doesn't look like a bunch of snot balls on the walls. It'll look way nicer when you're done.

Is that the best choice for inside walls or is there anything better? I need to redo some of my walls. 55 yr old block that was painted at some point. Multiple colors and some water has worn away paint in a couple spots.

Put a nice dark color on it. I put some of that Dri-Lock or whatever in light gray, and it actually started staining from behind.

Drylok requires a clean surface. Almost a full prep prior to applying is needed for Drylok.

Clean with TSP after vacuuming/scraping loose debris away from walls and floors. Prime using an alkaline resistant masonry primer and after 48 hours apply a decent reputable paint [BEHR, sherwin,rust-oleum] .

Yea, I powerwashed, used a recommended cleaning solution from the Home Depot guy, and wire brushed it. It still stained. The stuff is garbage.

What about cock in the seams/cracks?
I have some small cracks that I would like to fill before I paint.
Is there something better to use than just paintable cock?
Need white, no black, plan to paint walls white.

I usually use caulk for my cracks but to each is own lol
