Just wanted to let everyone on here know about a bad buying experience I had with StealthRTSC.
As some of you may know he was trying to sell a mini-chopper on here. I figured I would pick it up as a cool St. Ignace cruiser/ pit bike. For 100 bucks how could I go wrong? Well two weeks ago when he sent me a pm saying it was only 100 bucks that day I texted him immediately saying that I would paypal him the 100 bucks to make sure that he held on to it for me because I am out in Ann Arbor and he is all the way out in Shelby and I knew I had to go to the east side over the weekend to help CrazzyAl out and attend bad99extreme's girlfriends birthday dinner with a few other motown guys at Louis' chop house on Gratiot. He responded verbatim as followed:
"how about I hold it for you, you come check it out and make sure its what you want then worry about the cash...I will hold it"
followed by:
"yeah ill mark it sold on mm, u come check it out, make sure its what you want, ride it. I would hate to accept payment and you dont like it"
He was true to his word and marked it tentatively sold in the thread so I figured I was set. That was on a Tuesday I believe. Well come Sunday I was on my way to CrazzyAl's house and called him mid-Day with no response on his end so i sent him a text explaining what was on my agenda for Sunday and if we could work something out. After two or three more calls and texts during the day still with no response until after I was already on my way back to Ann Arbor when he finally texted me back and said: "[he was] in Lapeer and tried calling four times" However I cannot verify the truth of that statement because my phone did not show any missed calls from him and there were no voicemails from him either; strange when he claimed to call me four times right...so i sent him a text back saying I would be back on the east side the following weekend and I would pick it up then. At that point I figured everything was cool.
Now come Tuesday, I had figured out my schedule for the weekend and sent him a very detailed PM with my plans from Thursday til Sunday and that I would basically be able to pick it up any time in those days. I did not receive a response to that PM and still haven't actually, however I noticed he had responded in a couple different threads both Wednesday and Thursday so I knew he had received the PM and now was perhaps dodging me.
Come Thursday when I was able to pick the bike up I sent him a text and got the response "who is this?" so I figured something was up. He had told me he lost my phone number and had given the bike to someone else that day and had wanted to text me but lost my number...
Obviously I am moderately pissed which is why I am writing something up here to let everyone know that his word is not reputable and frankly if he wanted to let me know he had given it away to someone else why couldn’t he respond to my PM or send me one stating that he had planned on giving it to someone else. frankly I wasted all the gas to come back out to the east side just so I could keep my word to him about my weekend plans that I had sent him in the PM that previous Tuesday even after I no longer needed to be on the east side this past weekend.
Though this is my first bad buying experience with anyone on motown, I felt that it was necessary to vent about the situation and forewarn anyone about my experience who might do business with this guy in the future…
