Need to purchase and have installed a remote car starter on a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

I don't want to spend a fortune on a complete alarm/starter. Just a starter so I can hop in a warm car in the morning and after work.

Who can hook me up?

Call my buddy Billy @ State of the Art 734-484-0400 tell him Matt Stanford from Varsity sent ya.

My cousin owns Audio Trends. They might be able to give you a good price. Call and ask for Simon, tell him Brian Koury sent you.

He has two other stores also, so one might be closer to you, but he's usually working at this one.

Don't quote me on this but Car Tunes was doing something for $99. Think it was a car starter/alarm or something. Don't know how long the deal was for but it was a little while ago.

Yeah we got a $99 remote start on our blazer. Dropped it off for a few hours and returned to a car that can be nice and toasty when you get in!:) Went to that place near the corner of M-59 7 Telegraph. I think it is now a Car Tunes store.

called car tunes. $199 plus tax etc... too much!

My jeep has a "coded key" so they claim it's more expensive

I was just told the same thing by two other places about my F150, and my wifes Escape.

I have keys for you F-150 and Escape. All you have to do is program them. It takes about 2 mins. Let me know. Then all you have to do is take the extra key in. It doesn't have to match the locks. It just has to be in the car for the remote start to work.

I think the ignition needs to be in the run position for the vehicle computer to record the value of the new key. So I think it would have to be cut to match , program the PCM then you could use the key as is or mess up the cut section so it couldn't be used in the ignition.
:dontknow:
nah. you can code the keys by vin #. you wire into the ign harness so the car thinks it's in the run position. but you do have to have a separate module to put the coded key into so it can trick the car. that's what costs extra cash. i used to install them.

Right. It doesn't have anything to do with the key. It's the chip inside. The key is just taped up under the dash somewhere.

Joey look for a DHL package tomorrow. BTW thanks for getting back with with that TEXT!!!!

I have been meaning to buy one too on my new wrangler, I'll just install it myself though

Wikd,

Call, my work, Vehicle Accessories and ask for Chris. Tell him Tom Halley told you to call. He might hook ya up a bit. Doesn't hurt to make a 5 minute phone call
