i know that everybody and there mother has heard about a certian problem that occured with a motor recently...well im putting this post up to try and explain and put my name back in good standings on MM....i have just gotten me a new computer sat night and now i finally have a chance to explain...i was not avoiding any of the threads or posts...i really did not have a computer and thats why i had not been answering anything....i had no idea that anything was even going on until my buddy (pure84gt) had called me saying that more than one person on her wanted my head and blood....i did in fact tell him to put my cell phone number up and that people can get ahold of me if they needed to...as far as the motor goes...i had not touched the inside of it what so ever...how it was is exactly how i recieved it...AUTOMOTIVE MACHINE was responsible for the assembly of the shortblock in which the over tourqued things.i explained to the best of my abilty to josh and derek everything i knew about the motor...i wasnt trying to cheat or screw anybody out of anything...i wouldnt want it done to me so i wouldnt do it to anybody else...i read in another post by REIKO that stated that ive screwed many people over...that is 100% not true..i have dealt with a couple of people off of here and everything has went very smoothly until the motor incident....so please do not accuse me of that if you dont have the fact to back it up. i do give props to derek for digging all the information u that he did on my post habits and thread topics...i have been bouncing around so many different combinations and ideas and i just wanted some opinions on them...but never the less great investigative work on your part derek. and as far as the cobalt belonging to josh..we all now know who did it...i wouldnt do something like that..i have to much respect for peoples property...im doing what i think is right by posting this. i just want to clear everything up and get my name back on the good side of everybody..me and derek have spoken a couple times on the phone and its being taken care of right now on my end

Glad to hear, and I'm glad you guys worked it out OFF of Motown. To many people jumped to conclusions and dont realize some individuals dont have internet access 24/7.

I would like to apologize... I got screen name mixed up and it was my fault... I was confused on screen names... That's my fault dave... Sorry about that...

Dont drag AUTOMOTIVE MACHINE into this. I personaly know of half a dozen 700+ motor buils( includiong mine) that hold up very well. It isnt thier fault that JUNK parts were given to them to assemble. From what ive seen , that engine has been run A LOT since any machine shop assembled it.
Also, you were able to log in several times that day but not able to post ?
Im not involved but i call BULLSHIT on multiple levels.

I think the best thing is for you to take a vacation for a long while. You wont be trusted in these circles.

Automotive Machine messed up a simple rod hone we gave to them. Was that our fault. Their work has been slipping alot lately.

I had aproblem with a short block they assembled, not enough bearing clearances. Put about 15 miles on motor before bearings spun. There not the first machine shop ive had probs with..I realize mistakes do happen ocasionally so i gave them the benefit of the doubt..Im by know means bad mouthing them , just stating what happened to me personaly.

it doesn't matter who assembled it. the transaction is between two people... the buyer and the seller. the seller is 100% responsible for making sure the item is as advertised.

The problem is that if someone helped out TurboBuick once then they are great and can do no wrong so I think Brian should list the people who helped him so we can know before we state something that they did was shitty. Because it just couldn't be true.

I've never seen pistons with that much carbon on them just from "breaking in". Also, the ad said TRW forged, those are not forged. Also, I don't know of any shop (outside of the old APE) that could ship a SBF that takes 83 ft. lbs. to turn over? Sorry, either you are full of shit, or the machine shop really sucks, it's got to be one or the other.

i did have a corrected post stating that they were not forged pistons...now as far as it taking 83 ft.lbs to turn over...thats nothing that i did...im expecting a call back from automotive machine to find out who buit the shortblock and all that info.....i will keep it posted
