Found out my mom and step-father lost their house in Goodyear, AZ this afternoon to a fire. They also lost their puppy, Zoey, due to smoke inhalation. I would just appreciate it if any of the religious members of this club could please keep them in your prayers as they go through this tough time.

RIP Zoey :(

Man, I'm so sorry about the loss you parents are dealing with. God bless and prayers sent.

Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers...I relayed to my mom and step-dad how much support they have, even from people they've never met, and it really meant a lot to them. I appreciate it. Very sad, indeed...but with all the love and support they're getting from all over the country, I am confident they will be able to rebuild their home and their lives, even if it takes a little time.

A little extra information...I guess the fire started in their bedroom in a wall socket (that is what the fire inspector found). They said it was so quick and so hot that it completely melted the bed, destroyed the night stand (to the point where nothing at all was left), and melted the wall and carpet down to bare concrete. If this fire had broken out while they were sleeping, there is a good chance they wouldn't have made it out alive. They did, unfortunately, lose everything in their house...clothes, furniture...everything. Luckily, all of that stuff is replaceable (to some extent, anyway)...only things. The loss of Zoey is terrible...I can't even imagine if it happened to one of our dogs. They are taking comfort in the support of family and friends, and everyone else that is thinking of them. Thank you again for your thoughts...it means a lot to me, but it especially means a lot to them.

sorry man, thats sad to hear. my pups are like my kids, i cant imagine what they are going through.
This. We lost both our dogs last year, one to cancer and the other one was a big dummy who liked to go play with the neighbors dogs and got hit by a car. He would head butt the chain link fence until he popped the alluminum upright ties off and push his way under it. We lost them both within 6 weeks of eachother. It is very hard.

It is a good thing your parents were able to get out, I am sure Zoey would have done all she could to save them if they had been sleeping. It is so sad but it is a good thing they have lots of support. Thoughts and prayers to them still because the rebuilding process his hard once memories are brought up with the changes.
