Are all trans coolers the same?

I need to install a transmission cooler on my ride for a turbo 400 hanging off of a BBC. Are all coolers the same? Are there do’s and don’ts? OEM or aftermarket? Does size mater? How about application street or strip? In my case street. :headscrat

my trans cooler is actually an A/C condenser. haha
