Are all dodge/Chrysler/Jeep dealer sales people useless?

By the way Justin, maybe it's the vehicle I test drove, but I hated the RAM and the way it rode etc... Though honestly my opinion of the vehicle was already pretty low thanks to the sales guy.

Really? Have you test driven other full size trucks? I didn't think it was bad at all compared to other full sizes. I thought it was actually better than the Seirra, but I never had the Ram on the freeway to really compare the two.

The Ram I had I had on the expressway. Plenty of power, but the ride was just horrible. I drove an F150 FX4 and it was definitely a truck, just not like my wheels were made of stone.

i know a guy who can get you GMS Pricing ;)

Space in the back is an issue too. Though I haven't looked really to see how much room there is. Right now though I'm looking at an F150 FX4 or 2 and a Taurus SHO. Maybe just one of them, maybe both. Depends on a couple things. Though the payment on both of those is probably as much as the V.

Don't bother asking for a test drive in a BOSS, Shelby, Raptor or (not released) Focus ST unless you have a signed buyers order and plan on taking delivery that day. I know that sounds shitty, but putting miles or taking a risk of damage on a limited production isn't worth it to a dealer.

Now that I get. My beef was I showed up in a CTS-V (which still had a paper plate on it), told him the whole scenario then I got the "only we have these" (which is BS) and at that point the 13's were about a month/month and a half out and they had been sitting on the one I was looking at for quite sometime. Then we get out to the truck and its already got 66 miles on it LOL. I'd like to think if I showed up at your place and you had some specialty vehicles that you had been sitting on and the new ones were due out in a month or so you'd let me test drive one to seal the deal. At that point I had never even DRIVEN a Jeep ;)

I would LOVE a SHO. I think when/if Kid #2 shows up I might have to take a hard look at one of those finally. I don't think the payment would be as bad as a V though.

That's why we're looking at the SHO. Talking about #2 in the future. The SHO is about 50k, so I'm expecting about 6-700/month. What's the range for your V?

Sticker is $73.5, I think you can find them in the high 60's with less options if you poke around though. Most of them are pretty well loaded, I might know of a black wagon for sale soon if you are into that sort of thing LOL

The V actually has more back seat space than you would expect looking at it from the outside. The Wagons are badass too. As long as you do not get a coupe you'll have backseat room for a pair of child seats if you want. But I honestly couldn't compare to to the new SHO - haven't been in one of those yet.

I was in a Dodge dealer last week (same dealer Chris got his SRT from) and the sales guy was kind of being a dick to me through out most of my time there. Chris over heard part of our convo while I was at his dealership picking up the Sierra, he was really being an ass.

The way the Dickbag Dodge explained the SRT vehicles to me is that some people buy them as collector cars, and there for they want the lowest possible miles on them. They're willing to dealer-hop to find one with the lowest miles possible. So to keep from getting out sold, they wont let you test drive them.

I dont think I'd ever spend that much on a vehicle I couldnt take for a spin.

Who collects SRT8's anyway? Its not like its some limited production sports car. They make a good amount of them.

Sucks to hear these dealership problems though, Chrysler is making a good car now, I hope the dealerships dont drop the ball.....

It's not just the Dodge dealers..... it can be ANY of them.

2 years ago I was in the market for either a new Mustang or Challenger. After many e-mails back and forth with the internet sales manager from Village Ford I finally made up my mind it was going to be a blue Mustang. He sent me all the paperwork and specs on the exact one I wanted.... it was even in the showroom. The next day I go there to check it out, just to be sure, and was fully prepared to go through with the deal. Some total asshat of a salesman comes up and asks if I need any help. I replied "not right now, just looking". He continues to follow me around the car and won't shut up for even 2 seconds. I work in the auto industry, i've been in the plant to see them built, I know what I'M looking for. This moron goes on about how the Mustang finaly has an engine that "looks good", has a great stereo, and comfortable seats in back for kids (ya right)! Finally I ask him if the internet sales guy who I was dealing with was there. He of course replies "no....why?" I go out to my car, get my paperwork, and the datasheet with VIN # and the quoted price. I come back into the stealership and show the genius the paperwork. He proceeds to laugh, then tell me that there's No way they would ever sell that car for that price, and that I must have made it up! I proceed to ask if the name in the e-mails is their internet sales manager, if that VIN matches the one in the car, if the stationary letterhead is the same one as theirs, if he could at least verify with the internet sales manager that this was the correct price. etc. etc. He answers yes to everything, and then calls me a "really good scammer". I grabbed my things and turned around and walked out.

Best part....... as I was walking out, the floor sales manager asked if there was anything he could do to help me. I responded very loudly and clearly " No, your co-worker over there already called me a liar and refuses to verify anything I've asked of him"

The next day I drove my new Challenger off the lot at Golling Dodge.
