so saw this on another forum wondered if someone would take me up on a little cxhallenge....
realistically hoping to have at least 3 or 4 people.
challenge: take until a set date, use 1500$ including the price of the car to see who can build the fastest drag car.
rules:
1> selling of parts on the car is allowed to make more money for project... max profit is 500$
2> buying of used parts is permitted and encouraged.
3> accepting free parts especially those in serious nature (engines, trans', whole car) or borrowing parts is not preferable. (want it to be about how you can build a car not who you know) (this is negotiable)
4> car must remain street legal.
5> any make model or style of car is permitted
6> any engine in any car is permitted (if you have the skills fab whatever you can muster)
7> teams are allowed and encouraged but no more than the $2000 cap is allowed to be sourced.
9> if you already own a car that does not count as free. you must declare what you payed for said car or shell... new projects are preffered. plenty of mullets and mustangs on cl... imports are allows encouraged for a diverse group.
8> CAR MUST MAKE 3 PASSES (fastest 2 will be added together for your score)
9> CAR SHOW PART (not necessarily pretty but votes for coolest all around) (this is under question)
10> PREVIOUSLY OWNED PARTS: will be assesed fair used price (sorry have to keep it fair for those of us who don't have a garage full of parts)
***** possibly considering an extra batle against a car built with more money idk about that though
we will race end of this season at either milan or lapeer wherever people like more.
the nature of this is fun... i'd like each team entering to put forth 25 or 30$ so there can be a small prize to the winning team.
well thats my thoughts... lemme know what everyone thinks i think especially if you can get 3 or 4 guys to throw down on buildign a car itd be a wicked fun time... i'm starting putting together my team and ride... let me know if theres any itnerest here.
