If you see Tony soon, make sure you check out his ride. Hes putting the deal he won at the last Motown BBQ to good use currently.

I'd also like to take a moment to apologize to his wonderful fiance who is trying to wrap her head around how it can take more than one full day of work to turn around a car that's already in good shape.

Looks great budd , can you PM what it would cost to do a vette , the car was painted few years ago and been stored ever since ... need to bring the shine back into the paint , only need the outside done .

Thanks

Thanks Marc! The car is really coming along. It had a nice shine before but is starting to absolutely glow! I can't wait to finish up the interior this afternoon and see how you came along on the exterior. I highly recommend autolavish! They will let you try out their products and learn the correct ways to clean things while they are working on other parts of the car. Strangely, I had a lot of fun cleaning the interior yesterday. Probably because the product (and tools) they had me use were incredible at removing 13yrs/125k miles of dirt, improper cleaning product, etc on the interior.

Good shape yes, Lavish shape not yet.

All I can say is WOW! My car has never had this much depth before. We were all amazed that the 13yr old paint really came alive like it did. Not bad for 125k on it! We finished it up last night and got a few night shots with Matt. Hopefully Marc will be doing a full write-up on it to share with you guys. And once Matt gets some of the photo's processed, those will be added too. My only regret in all of this was not having it done sooner! Totally worth it! :D Sorry, but you will have to wait for pics. They are all on Marc & Matt's Camera's. I only have a few cell phone teaser shots we took along the way.

Cannot wait for the writeup.
You and me both! We took a lot of 50/50 shots along the way to show improvement. Started with a 'clean' car and now it is immaculate! Only got a few night shots with Matt last night. Will have to schedule a daytime shoot later. But my work schedule is INSANE for the next week. Hopefully there will still be some fall colors or decent weather to get the shoot in before I gotta take it off the road for the season.

All that work and you still cant rub the orange off of it. keep rubbing mark!!!! LOL!!!
He was actually excited to not be working on a black or white or silver car. They enjoy a little color every now & then. Changes it up and makes it more fun.

Now i going to ask which i want to ask I want to paint my room like a 69' camaro z/28, orange w/ white stripes, and the orange on that car is hugger orange. So i am asking what color orange is closest to hugger orange so that i can paint my room that color.
Try comparing color chips from the hardware store to the paint can lids at the auto parts store. They have colors that are similar. But you will have to figure out what you want to use as there are many different shades.

 Speak it & write it.
