anyone notice the 11pm fireworks in rochester hills last night?

They've put on an Independence Day show for many years. When I was a kid, Four Bears did fireworks as well so you'd usually have two shows going on the same night just a few miles apart.
 
It did seem a little later than usual but i thought it might be because of the weather. I can hear them all the way from my house in Utica.
 
It was the annual fireworks at Hamlin and john R at the park. And yes they started late due to rain.
 
I'm glad it rained and they postponed the fire works it usually takes me an extra hour to get home that day.

That was my spot for fishing back in the 90's, all the way from under Rochester Rd to by Yates. Good carp fishing too I'd almost always bend a hook on some huge pig.

It's full of steelhead from mid-fall to late spring. I've pulled some torpedoes out of there. Nothing like having a 4lb+ steelhead fry the drag on an ultralight.
