anyone know someone there? preferably a used car salesman?

girlfriend and I are interested in a vehicle they have there, and will be going in tomorrow with cash. I don't want to go through the whole speech, I don't want to be lied to etc.

if I can walk in, communicate the price I want to be at, get a yes or a no, and hopefully buy it without wanting to blow my brains out...I would be happy lol.

As always, any help is appreciated. thank you!
 
Walk in, find the best dressed salesman and tell him exactly what you just said here. I've found that being up front about things like this cuts the need for bullshit. 'I have $X and want to buy this car'. Either they make it work or they don't.

^^^ That is pretty much what I did many years ago.

I walked in, told the first sales rep I saw: " I have $XX.XX
in cash (in my hand) to buy that car OTL (off the lot) total,
you have 15 minuets to get me a firm yes or no, otherwise I'm
walking out that door in 15 minuets with or without that car."

Yes, it worked.

this is kind of the game plan. im hoping not having to deal with financing bs and all that will give me some leverage. hundred dollar bills in an envelope. and the price im going to offer for the car I feel is fair as well! its not like I want to steal the thing from them.
 
talked to terrance today, drove the car, looked it over and came back with a list of things I was concerned with. made him my offer, he initially rejected, then went to talk to the manager. came back and countered. I didn't like it. he wouldn't/couldn't get to my price so we walked. nice enough guy. thanks for the contact!

does he want to let an SRX go for wholesale? the one we looked at today had been sold at the auction 5 times!
 
I drove a awd SRX to and from colorado in the winter. I was NOT impressed. the seats were rock hard, the trim was crappy. I should have taken the grand cherokee with almost 200k on it.

ALso, I got stuck in 6" of snow. 6". and it was awd.

I have heard that on the Equinoxes and Terrains too. It is because they put these rock hard tires on them for fuel economy. Sorry, not rock hard, low rolling resistance.

we were looking at an AWD SRX, she wants a Terrain really bad as well.

im trying to talk her into a Tahoe. we'll see how that goes lol.

I love tahoes man! we were driving back last night and I told her to look for some 07-08 tahoes and I bet they would be in her price range. she started to like them. and then I said ok search for a Yukon denali, same year..and her eyes lit up when she looked at them. she wants something with some options, and good in the winter time. shes in an 09 Malibu right now. I HATE that car.
