I just bought a new suit that I need tailored. I want to find someone that is REAL good, because I don't want to have someone hack up this expensive suit.

well the suit can't be worn until the pants are tailored first of all because the length is unfinished. I'm bigger in the chest/shoulders, so the waist on the pants need to be brought down also. I like havin an athletic cut so the mid section doesnt look clunky also.

Kositcheks is a nice suit shop and they have an excellent tailor there.

stop buying suits on ebay. Any "reputable "suit place will tell you where they recommened taking it, if they dont offer it themselves.

obviously it wasnt that expensive if the store doesnt offer tailoring.

they did, but I bought it back home and didn't have time to get it tailored because I had to be back up at school. I figured I'd just drop it off to get done while I was up here. I don't know what you consider expensive, but it was a lot to me for a suit.

why not just buys clothes that fit? what about the place that sold it to you?
I challenge you to find me tailored shirt that would fit me. I just bought 5 shirts for work (they have the company logo sticthed on them) and I was forced to order a 2x for my 18.5" neck and larger shoulders. The body on that size shirt it supposed to fit a guy with a 46" waist...mine is currently a 35" and I have a ~51" chest. If I dont get these shirts tailored I will look like a slob wearing a parachute. Off the rack clothes are usually for stick figured boys and fat slobs. My clothes have to fit well. I have a reputation to uphold.

How much do you consider to be "a lot for a suit?"

for me $650 is a lot to drop on a suit because I'm in college. I just can't afford to spend more with all the bills I have now
