Anyone have the hookup on plasma tv parts?

I recently aquired a 42in zenith plasma tv that clicks on when plugged in and red power light comes on then clicks off after a few seconds. Then clicks on then off again. All the while no pic or sound. I disconnected the z board and ysus board and plugged in. Clicked on and got white noise from speakers and stayed on. Unplugged and reconnected the z board after 5min. Plugged back in and got original falt issue with click power on then automatic click off after a few seconds. I'm guessing I have a problem with the z board. All websites are out of stock so I'm hoping someone knows someone with old parts laying around. Board: 42f3_z, part #: eax62081001

I usually source my old boards off ebay. So far what I've ordered has worked and fixed issues, very cost effective.

This, eBay is always good for this sort of thing. It sounds to me that it's the power supply board giving up the ghost. I usually see them for $30 to $50 depending on the TV model.

Yep. My first flat panel TV is a 32" Phillips I bought 8 years ago, cost me $850 back then. It's close to the same weight as the 50" I purchased over the summer.

In general, the parts that go bad in a power supply board are the filter capacitors. They're pretty easy to get to as they're hole mount and not surface mount. You should be able to tell which ones are bad by a visual inspection. They'll either be bulging, leaking, or both.
