Anyone have experience/reviews with the Turbonetics hurricane series?

I'm thinking about upgrading my turbo to a better one and came across these. Are they any good? I can get any one from that series for $750 shipped. Seems like a pretty good deal for a turbonetics snail. Anyone use one of these?

I've heard nothing but bad about them. My buddy has one and we just had to rebuild it. It gets so hot it melts the oil seals, if u google turbonetics turbos you'll see there's a lot of problems with them especially with cooling. Just sharing my experience with them.

you upgrading from the on3 stock turbo? will the new one bolt onto the manifold?

That is the plan upgrading from the stock on3 turbo yes. Any T4 flanged turbo will bolt up, assuming the compressor cover isnt too big as to interfere with the Alternator, and the turbine housing has a 3" Vband outlet

hurricanes were the predecessor to the TC series. make solid power and are very compact
