Anyone elses car lower when installing strange shocks with coilovers? V. Foxbody

Looks like my car is about 3/4" lower in the front after installing the strange adjustables. Does this happen to everyone?

Let me br more clear, the car already had coilovers on it, when I switched the shock from a lakewood to a strange, it dropped. I didnt touch the coilovers, just moved them over

Gotcha. How do you have the Strange shocks set? I would imagine if you had them stiff (where they should be) the ride height would not change.

Also...stupid question but are the Strange shocks the same length as the Lakewood's?
 
Matt lift up on the car (pull on the fender) I bet it "pops" back to normal ride height. Also are these shocks or struts? I would think changing the rear shocks would have no effect on the frount ride height, did you mean you changed frount struts?

Ill check when I get home. Dont get me wrong, it looks wicked, but I just want to make sure its correct.
 
Does the car have caster camber plates? If so did you move the shims over from the old struts to the new ones?

CC plates have metal shims some are 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 etc... You can use them to change ride height and get the postitioning right of the strut nut on the strut when its in the CC plate. If you didnt change them over you will lose ride height.
 
yes, everything stayed the same aside from swapping the lakewood out and putting the strange in
 
IT might be that the ends are different....Look were the nut goes and were the spacer would fit on the shaft the new ones might have a longer tapered area....So you might need a longer shim to make them the same height....If this has been said please dont leave neg feedback....
