I myself took advantage of it. I figured id much rather be alittle warm doing it..then freezing my ass off, slipping off the roof, damn near killing myself. The past few days ive put up what i could of my lights. Have a few little things left to do. I cant count how many people walked/drove by looking at me like "wtf is this clown doing?" I dont have them turning on or anything yet..but i figure its nice to have it done..so when the times right, all i have to do is walk out side set my timer and im done.

what's christmas/winter without falling off the roof in a pile of snow & ice? :)
I might do it, hopefully will before its too friggin cold!

I thought about it, but it just feels way too damn early to do it.

I'll probably scale back this year too, maybe just do some lights on the roof line, thats it.

Only 2 weeks to thanksgiving. I'll take 2 weeks early and done..rather then waiting and freezing.

I hear ya, maybe I'm just not ready to give in that winter is coming.

I dunno, maybe when I have kids I'll do the lights up big again, its just becomes a PITA to take em down (its def cold as shit by that point) and dealing with them burning out gets tiresome.

Two years ago I put ~ 1500 (15 strands of 100 lights) on a small tree in my front yard. It looked amazing, but it took awhile to put up, and just as long to get down. I dunno, just spending 1/2 hour stringing them up on the roofline sounds alot better. lol

BTW anyone have any sources for cheap LED lights? I am so done with the cheapo GE glass bulbs that burn/short out and cause 1/2 the line to go out. :bondage:

It wouldnt be right doing christmas lights without it being frigid and or snowing, I wait on purpose, generally same weekend I get my tree:thumbsup:

:thumbsup:yep, put up most of my lights up last weekend. Going back out thsi weekend to finish up some spots.

BTW, I got the new C9 LED Bulbs at Sams Club. For those that are looking to save money, these things waste MUCH less electricity compared to the standard lights.

saw some on tonight:

I turned my on just to make sure everything was working. But that was only for 5 minutes. They're staying off Until Nov 27th.
