Anybody with access to a big ass lathe?

I bought some wheels with the centers hogged out in hillbilly fashion. I am thinking I might want to get the ID's cleaned up and getting some hubcentric adapters for them. I'm looking for somebody that has a large swing lathe to do the work. Need something that can hold a 17" wheel, figure likely at least an 18" swing or more. Probably no more than an hour's work, if I can't get them perfectly round, a round pattern with some OD deviation is fine. Need enough for hubcentric rings to work.

And yes, I'm probably over-thinking this...

Called Weldcraft, they referred me to a shop that does this for them all the time.

ASAP machine in Canton. They quoted me $15/wheel, done deal, I dropped them off this afternoon. We had a good laugh at the previous attempt on opening up the centers, aka a wood router. Then he showed me some wheels somebody booger welded up the hubs to reduce the diameter. Pretty sketchy, hubcentric rings would have been a way better option.

This is awesome to know about (especially since it is close to me) since I have a car with a common bolt pattern but a huge hub that nothing else has a big enough bore for the wheels to work.

Turn around was less than a day..... But price jumped to $25/wheel. I should be picking them up tomorrow if I get out of work early enough.

Was the price jump due to difficulty from the original level of roughness?

Either way I think a set up F body wheels is cheap enough compared to a set of E39 wheels that I could pick up a set and come out ahead on price.
