I am checking out an engine that is out of the car and not on a stand and before I take the plunge I would at least like to take a peak in the cylinders. Anybody know where I can find a loaner borescope on the west side? It doesn't seem like any of the auto parts stores loan them out and hope depot doesn't either.

I've actually never used it other than verifying it worked, but I have an el cheapo Chinese unit I got on Groupon that works with an app on Android. It's similar to this:

I havent used one but Harbor Freight sells them for pretty cheap.
Thanks for the replies, guys. As it turns out, even though AutoZone's website showed all their local stores as "our of stock" for loaner borescopes, my local AutoZone actually did have one. I guess rather than trusting the website I should have gone old school from the beginning and picked up the phone.
