anybody else doing the warrior dash in July ? 7,27_7.28

I ran the first one, I wasn't fond about paying to run, and paying again to park.
Take a bucket of water, the shower they had didn't do a very good job of getting you clean, especially since you had to stand in mud that the shower created.
Sunday at 11:30 the course will be very nasty. I did the Saturday @ 11 and not only was it a mess, but you have a lot of walkers clogging the course.
I got a big slice in my leg crawling under the barbed wire at the end, the sand had washed away and the rocks underneath opened up my shin.
It was fun, but those were my biggest issues. You'll have a good time, especially if you have a dry person to take photographs.

I'm running with a group of guys at 9:30 on Sunday. I talked with a previous runner, and she said that wearing gloves will help you tremendously, especially over some of the obstacles. How much do they charge you to park?

I ran the same year/day that you ran before, remember? :slomo: Well that's for your first mistake, taking advice from a woman LOL JK. I dunno about gloves after they get soaked/covered in mud but i'm sure a really good pair made for that type of activity might help some. My shins took the brunt of it before since I wore shorts (remember whatever u wear will be heavy when covered with water/mud) but I plan on wearing shorts again. I think parking is $10 per car.

I wouldn't bother with the gloves.
I think rolling across the rope netting was faster than trying to crawl across.

I'm in the 8am sunday heat also. Never done one before not training and back is sore as hell (hopefully better by then) but I got high hopes.

We did the TM this morning . Was awesome and had a blast. The monsoon that came about added even more greatness

You have a team name?

No it was just me and my girl.. we clipped it in 3:10 our start time was supposed to be 11:40.. It's going to be just her and I doing the warrior dash too. It's something we enjoy doing together.
