Any media blasting gurus here?

I'm going to pick up a sand blaster and use walnut shells to do body panels. My question is should I use the regular grind shells or the fine?

I have a open bag of walnut shells, your welcome to it but I'm not near temperance. Its pretty course stuff, I bought it for transmission casings-and don't like it at all. it does not have the cutting power of sand, and I prefer the finish of glass bead. You may want to try it before you buy a lot of it. its pricey, and I dont think it works well at all.

I was told that sand will warp body panels. It makes to much heat. I was told that for the money walnut shell was the way to go.:dunno:
