Just wonderig if you guys know if there are any ford dealers around that won't try and lowball me on my 08 ram I'm trying to trade in. I went to fairlane ford in dearborn and they tried offering me 3000 under the lowest kbb trade in value . He said my trucks in great shape, its just there is no market for used cars since they brought back leasing. I said BS and walked out. Any help would be great.

We had a large quantity of Rams on our lot a short time ago......they are tough to sell when you have a sh**load of them.........

Search eBay completed auctions if you want to see how much a particular item is really selling for.

KBB is -not- accurate at all from my experience. Unless Kelly wants to buy whatever you are selling I say her opinion is meaningless.

NADA is far more accurate. Most places don't even want to give you that. You'll get more from a Dodge dealer than a Ford dealer.

I know. I'm just looking at getting into a 2013 mustang gt. I drive 40 miles one way to work and this ram isn't cutting it. I know the mustang isn't a economy car but its still decent mpg's and fun to drive and mod.

FYI the Rams are dog shit on resale because you can lease one for around $300 a month. Ram is selling their souls on the leasing program which ruins the value.

Also KBB isn't a very good source for trade value. Today's market moves too fast for them to be up to date. If gas jumps .20 at the pump the auctions adjust that day. KBB can't and doesn't. NADA is decent, but again they just can't adjust the way auctions do. Most dealers use current auction dealings for appraisal values.

My .02 would be to put a For Sale sign in the window. Check CL, see what they are going for and advertise it $500 lower than the average.
