Any ATV or small engine guys?

I have a 90cc Polaris scrambler that I bought for my daughter a few years ago. It ran great. I put it away last fall for the winter( I did drain the gas and ran some marine fuel through it so it's not a old has issue at all). But It now seems I have no spark. Is the cdi box likely to go bad from sitting? If there a way to bypass it to test it. Bc a new cdi box is a few hundred bucks. Any ideas? Thanks.
 
Verify that you have no spark. That is not something to guess. Atv coils are usually cheaper than the cdi box so that is where i start when i truly have NO spark. Goodluck, i hate gremlins!
 
Ok will do. I did however find a fair amount of aftermarket cdi boxes that are so called ( performance) which I don't really care about my daughter is 8 so I have it cranked down already. But if I did need to replace it would that be a viable fix or should I get the oem part? I mean it's all China parts either way I'm Guessing. Thanks for the help
