Another Mustang SN95 5.0

Hey guys, I haven't posted in quite some time. I ran out of steam with a really straight oxford white Foxbody roller I bought last year. With trying to do a honeymoon this year, and adult bills I couldn't take not having something drive-able.
What I know
1995 Mustang GT
117k miles
Liberty Gears rebuild Non WC T5
373 Gears
Gt40p Heads with springs
Unknown comp cam (it's suppose to be an xe282hr), but it sounds more like a magnum cam compared to other youtube searches.
Emission shorty headers, OR/H with Dynomax bullets.
24lb injectors with a calibrated MAF (I haven't checked for a chip).

I picked her up in Roseville Mi, the dude was pretty cool. It had valve train issues, and I knew this going into the buy. It had 1.7RR's, they 12 of them were loose, one broke, 1 bent pushrod and a hollow lifter :S. I swapped my old e7 stamped rockers, and replaced 1 pushrod, and I put my 351lifters in it as well.

I had my buddy come over tonight, I set the base timing to 11* and she pursssss now :).
I'll be keeping this up to date, unlike my white Foxbody.

Minor update.
I've been chasing my ass with timing this car. The car doesn't run any better from 5* - 15*, I found two bad plug wires and one plug that was broken. I was able to get it back together with new copper plugs, and wires. I still had the same issue, I restabbed the distributor, again, and set it around 8-9*. I drove it for 5 miles and noticed it was getting worse, acting like its got choked up. Sitting at the camp fire I realized I have 19lb injectors with a 24lb calibrated maf, I was told it was 24lbs and I never thought twice.

When I left my families house I unplugged the maf, put it in limp mode and she ran good all the way home.
I'm currently pricing out options for another maf. I had this issue on my old Blue foxbody, calibrated Maf with 19lb injectors...

Would it be cheaper to run 24lb injectors & use the current MAF?

Probably not, I picked up a re-manufactured MAF for $80. I haven't looked for fuel injectors for some time, but I thought new 24lb were just under $200.

Whelp somehow I got the injector color mixed up with the injector top color. I have blue top injectors(24lbs), but they were dirty. I swapped back to the calibrated MAF, and I've been having idle issues. I found the EGR was bad, I picked up another egr valve and the car hasn't been the same since. I started having a surging idle, I found I didn't have a good seal on the EGR, I used carb cleaner. I redid my gasket/rtv and it's gotten worse.

I've got some CEL codes, but I'm having a hard time reading them or figuring them out.
As of right now, it starts, has a low idle, doesn't respond to throttle and dies. Timing is back to 0*.
I'll be going over my Vacuum lines again, probably pull off my upper intake. I may need some help with the Codes, I'll post up the video tonight. I tend to over think things, so I get a normal 111 pass code, but when I watch the video again I think maybe its 312.
**Side note, I do have 19lbs injectors from my 351, and old explorer build.

Pretty sure I found my issue, the new egr needs to have 1/4 inch grounded off of it. It is hitting on the valve cover, and I had the egr hole wide open. I'm debating on taking the egr back and putting that money towards a delete kit.

I've been chasing my ass on this car :).
I replaced the fuel pump with a bbk 255lph, chasing a grounded injector. Once I was able to find the grounded injector I replaced two injector pigtails, and the car was still running on 7 cylinders. #7 hasn't ran in awhile, the wires were twisted together by hand before I soldered in a new pigtail.
I tore the gt40p heads off, the passenger side was not sealing like it should. I'll post up pictures of the gasket here shortly. I had oil coming out of the H-pipe when I disconnected it. I sent the heads to a machine shop here in town, no cracks were found, but it needed a valve job and besides the springs everything else was "beat to shit".
I have confirmed the cam, XE282hr .. really big cam for this setup.
I'm on the fence about having the heads setup for a different cam, or if I should just run this for next year while I get my 351w around for this car.

This was the last startup before I took the heads to my local machine shop. The heads were slapped together with good springs. The exhaust springs were 200/1000 over what they should have been set to, and it needed a valve job. I got a clean bill of health, valve job + hardware for $285. He was pretty cool about it, even painted my heads grand national black :)
I thought I had a bunch of pictures with my fuel pump install, but I cannot find them. I'll grab some pictures/video of the current state of the car.
If you haven't seen the ad, this XE282hr cam is for sale :).

BUMP!
I've gotten tired of seeing this thing on jack stands. Last night I put on the head gaskets and gt40p heads. I forgot to put the washers on the ARP bolts... so I had to take them back out, I forgot to put the head gasket on the drivers side when I bolted the head down and I dropped a washer LUCKILY in the intake port of the head. I'm not sure if it was the beer or lack of sleep.

I made some makeshift head studs to help me get the head on the block, I did this on my last engine. It's just old head bolts that have the head cut off.

Just a quick overview of the project.
302w - GT40p heads - Trickflow stage 1 cam - shorty headers HPipe+Bullets - 373 gears - Walbro 255 pump

I'm hoping this combo will net me 106mph + on street tires. I'm going to get some suspension to get this car to leave.
Next year it'll have megasquirt and a turbo, as long as I can figure this car out and get it to run properly.

Thanks!! I've been working on our daily drivers since this :|. I'll have more content, hopefully some good time lapse videos.

I'm excited to see how this compares to my old foxbody, very similar combo.
