I'm going to be in Ann Arbor with a friend tonight.
What are some good places to eat?
Not talking suit/tie type places. Just regular good food to enjoy before a hockey game.
(no crappy ass national chain restaurants please)
Thanks

Arbor too "foo foo" vegan? I keep reading places they change their menu around and it's going that direction...... or has been for a while.

Usually get a burger at Grizzly Peak, they used to have a cherry something bread pudding dessert, om nom nom nom. Been a while since I've been in there though.

Pizza House  (if you like Chicago deep dish and have the time for one to bake)
Address: 618 Church St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104

Blue Tractor is a spin off of Grizzly Peak with a focus on BBQ (never been there to say anything about the place)

Food is really good at grizzly peak, blue tractor and jolly pumpkin. Average at Arbor Brewing.

They last time I asked this same question i was told Blue Tractor. I went to Blue Tractor. It was awesome. I recommend it. Green beans with bacon are amazing.

Paesano Restaurant  (Coach Harbough's family fav)
$$ · Italian Restaurant
Address: 3411 Washtenaw Ave, Ann Arbor, MI

Never been there but MLive, Ann Arbor news has mentioned Jim Harbough likes it and family will go in now and then.

If you go to Grizzly Peaks, get the brownie for desert. If you like small pub feel, Casey's is good and is on the north side across from the train station.

My buddy owns a Indian Street food restaurant on the north end at Plymouth and Nixon. I could make a phone call and hook it up.
