I've had the car since new, 2008, aluminum wheels.
Around December 2016 I got a warning for low pressure, so I checked them all and evened them out.
Since then, seems like very 10 days or so I have to fill them.
Took in to Discount in February, immediately before even looking or anything they told me I need new wheels.
They checked them and said they didn't find any issue, they did remove from the wheel and check, reinstall on the car and good to go.
The next day I had a flat, they forgot to put the valve core all the way back in.
Still leaking since then, so today I took the car in to a different Discount since that is where I purchase the tires from about 1 year ago.

Seeing what they say, but should I really need new wheels? I get it that they corrode, but, that was on an old 80's aluminum wheel I had a while back.
Just seems odd to me that even with a 2008, still having these same issues, but I also see many of the same Sport Fusions running around with the original wheels, hard to say if they leak all the time and everyone fills them up every few days. I highly doubt that many are that attentive to these issues.

Whats the general consensus, do I just go with new wheels? Everything aftermarket I see on these cars looks like crap.
 
Aluminum oxidizes then lifts, letting air past. You can have them dismounted (including stem), sand them, then re-apply clearcoat. Or apply bead sealer.

Most of the shittier tire shops use an angle grinder with a wire wheel on them to clean off the old bead material when dismounting. Most of them push so hard that it burns off the anodizing and clearcoat... so they corrode. Most aluminum wheels are cheap cast 346 so they corrode easily.
