I took the old one out. I am trying to put the "new" one in. I can't get the tensioner bolt in. I can't line the alternator up right. I don't know what to do...I was screwing around with it for a while. It's at a funky angle.

Also a connector on a wire to the alternator came off. I was wondering how easy that is to replace? I hope I don't have to do a ghetto job of some sorts or buy a whole new wiring replacement.

check make sure you have the right alt, shit happens specially with this made in china core replacement shit. second did the wire come out with the pin or did it just break off. if it broke off you can get a pin extraction tool to get the connector pin out and re crimp it. i dont know where they would sell oem connectors i would try napa or some shit like that.

Thanks char. With a clear head my brain worked again and I figured out everything on my own after work though. I feel so good to do it on my own with no prior knowledge and just look at things and figure it out.

I was trying to do it on Fathers Day and as usual my father gives me a bunch of shit for everything in life while trying to help and I couldn't take it even on fathers day. I blew up at him, long time coming, and he packs his shit up and goes inside. I couldn't think straight so I didn't get anything right and overlooked simple shit. I went back today after work and realized I never bothered loosening the tension bracket to line it up for the bolt. I felt stupid but figuring out the connector made up for it. I realized the metal inside of the plastic connector seemed to be crimped. So I popped that out and thread the wire through the plastic and then recrimped it and then pulled the plastic back down. So I feel very accomplished.

np, glad its all worked out... as for your pops don't worry my dad does that shit all the time... i take it with a grain of salt and typically learn from him.

 Me asking for smartass comments would be great now that I realized I didn't do the simplest of things...I guess I knew yesterday that I missed something easy and I'd get it when I went back with a clear head.
