Alternative Auto...

I went there with 8URZOH6 a few times and Lid was always helpful it seemed... Dunno how the tune turned out, but Lid was busting his ass either way, and to me, that is important...

I know meangreen on here had a badass red notch h/c/i, vortech all kinds of shit done from lidio, friggin awesome job done on that one. Second A friend just last summer Got the same thing done to a 91-92 gt mustang and not a single complaint. Now from my dealing with Lidio I just could'nt afford him so. You get what you pay for....If I'm not mistaken he is pretty well none amongst ford guys around the nation.

I just picked up a hood from Erik. He's a pretty cool guy!

What's up with your ride?

I've been to Lidio's place, but it was a few years back when FME had a dyno day. I didn't get much time to talk to him then (didn't have a need back then either, LOL!), but yes, he seemed very knowledgable and hardworking. This is why I've inquired about him.
My gig is, I need a good tune to start from. Once I have the file, I can make small tweeks if the need arises, based on new mods and such.

Don't get me wrong, if I change a tune, I'm not the kind of person who would mutha-f@#k the original tuner. That just ain't right.

Thanks guys!

I think he has some deal where he will re-tune for cheap (iirc $100-$150).

Lidio is one of the best tuners out there IMO. he has been in business a long time and there is a reason for it.

I would search hemi's name on this board before I took any advice from him. he has nothing good to say about anyone.

Jim,

I have the pro racer package as well and did a little tunning...i'll be honest, my tune was shit compares to lidio's He knows all the tweaks to make it run like stock. Idle, part throttle driving, reving, etc....100x better

I'm not sure what he will charge, but since you have the chip and the switch i would imagine just dyno/tune time...

I took my 88 gt to him back in the day and instead of charging me a bunch of money for stuff i didnt need he told me it was a pos and to sell it.

LOL! Ya just cain't beat brutal honesty!

Yeah Erik, I hear ya on the driveability thing. Bucking, stalling and surging aren't on my mods list. ;)

Lideo will give you a good SAFE tune! He will tune it for the parts & power level your car can handle. To me that is a good tuner. I know many people who will only let him tune the car & have never heard any horror stories from any of them. As for the price.. It all depends on how long it takes to get your car right (Basically... The more of a basket case you give him, the more its going to cost) All he can give you is an hourly rate.

I know this guy that work's for lid and I think he might be able to get you in the door for $450..... He goes by the "doctor"

I think morons need to learn to read posts. This is not a rumor and his experience. In fact other member of this can vouch for it if they so choose to. Considering Having helped him work on the car and seeing the problem first hand entiles me to say what I said.

I'm not telling the poster of the thread not to go to Lidio, because I've heard many good things about him as well as the bad. All I said was to be careful. :jagoff:

LOL what was the problem the car had perfect driveability? Please I want to know the problem...If you or your neighbor had a lagitiment isue i'm sure you could have called the shop and Lidio would have been eager to solve it. Please tell me one bad thing you have heard about Lidio or his shop.. Granted no one/shop is perfect but we try hard to make sure the customer is satisfied!

I've never heard anything but good things about Lideo's shop or his customer service. I've spoken to him a few times about some things and he's always been helpful.

Even if the Doctor does work there :)

I talked to Lidio a couple timed when we were just starting Motown back up, and he seemed like a really cool guy.

Hemi, take it to Pm's or email.

Lid use to go out of his way to help out and make himself available to tune my NMRA Pure Street car when I was running...even when it was last minute. I would recommend Alternative...despite the fact that Jay tried to touch me while I was there ;)

I been going to Lidio since 94, when he came to my house to look at my 85 gt, it had a little fire under the hood, I have been taking stangs there ever since...My 93 was done by him back in 96 it ran like a raped ape, and had great driveability to...Lid knows his shit, and is a good guy to deal with he's very helpful...I will be taking meangreen there later this spring for a tune :peelout:
