And to think this city once was a nice place to live and work, shit they stole my truck 3 weeks ago still no word, gotta love it,

As much as I thought I was going to enjoy this video it made me sad. How terrible people actually living in those areas and fighting to stay alive/warm/etc/etc. How can so many people NOT CARE?! I'm baffled by either the stupidity or carelessness of some people. :shake: Unbelievable how much money is gone form there. Just demolished. :( We need more help from the government than IKE :shake:

seems to be a lot of house fires, and a lot of people who don't get the concept of boats being IN WATER!!! and not the road.

The abandon houses are usually set on fire by the neibors to keep pedofiles form raping children going to and from school.

The heyday for detroit was in the early 50's then the taxes started going up for busnesses once that happened the busnesses moved to the (then) countryside.

Here is the population stats:

They burn the houses so the don't become dope houses, that is the main reason.

And think, the open areas you see most likely had houses... Its such a shame becasue there were some really beautiful homes at one time. Not the junk they build these days.

There are actually whole city blocks that are empty (fields) that use to be filled with houses. Kind of sad.

Came across a BADASS brick house at Central and St. John the other day... Wish I had my digital camera... The house was mint and so was the property...

The city of Detroit averages 50 working fires/night. There are over 30,000 vacant homes & buildings in the city. This is why we are the busiest fire dept. in the world. People come from all over & chase us to fires to take pictures & video. Many reason for arson, some mentioned like crack houses, squatters, fire bugs, insurance, retaliation, any time the city wants to develop an area, shit starts to burn fast. :shake:
