Aftermarket Push Button Start

So I'm getting bored of my daily driver and I want to install something new in it to get me excited about it again, its a chevy hhr.

Im interested in getting an aftermarket push button start installed in it. Anyone have experience with them? There are a few companies.

What about shops to install it. Any recommendations? No thanks on Mickey Shores, previous bad experience from them.

Thanks

I have no experience with aftermarket push button starters but for the install of anything to do with automotive wiring I would call Joe at Downriver Motorsports Wiring.

I'm also curious how this turns out...if you do it.

My wife loves the push button start in our Caddy and now wants one in her G8 GT.

How would you get past the steering wheel lock? Would you still have to put the key in the ignition then press the button (Ford GT style)?

Called around a few shops that do remote starts, nobody has done it and no one is willing to try it.

They also had concerns with the hhr having a chipped key and do not know how to bypass it.

I found this company who sells a kit. On their online forum, someone installed it on their chevy cobalt, which is pretty same as an hhr. I'll contact that guy see what he says.

Im also going to call the guy that was suggested in the second post.

I've installed a couple but let me warn you, every system I've had to deal with has been simply awful. Low quality and most are a pain to install.

The trick around the pats key is pretty low brow. BUT
Back in my GTO days. The way was to have a 3rd fob. Said 3rd fob was hidden in the steering column or close enough behind the dash.

Easier to steal the car, but you got remote start and or push button start.

I didn't do either of them
