I got a sn95 5.0 and a timing light.
I messed with timing before but I honestly didnt know what I was doing.
I was wondering when I pull my car out if someone can help me advance it to somewhere betweeen 14-16.
Id really appreciate it.
 
thats the problem, lol, I dont know how to read that light and all that, I pulled the spout connector, and drove it, I was just to scared, i though it was going to blow up.
 
you can bring it over my place after work sometime and ill do it for ya. ive got a timing light that sets the timing digitally for ya. Set the desired degrees on the screen and adjust the cap until the balancer shows zero. its retard proof
 
Mark a few degrees on your balancer, 10,12,14. Try all the settings and see how it feels. When you pull your spout, make sure you put it back in after you retime it.
 
msd ones have a clip for the number 1 dizzy wire put it on it and start the car factory should be 10*, paint marker on the balencer will help, turn dizzy to what u want- btw 14-16 is alot of timing for a stock 5.0 try 12 first with premium fuel see if it pings. then go from there
 
lol im at 13 and shaner, but my car is at 11 and hoover at the garage and premium fuel is no problem, its what i ran in my car all summer, nothing else :-)
