I adopted a new to me pooch this weekend, was looking for a Lab and happened across this guy at the Huron Valley Humane Society. He's already got the run of the house and well behaved.:thumbsup:

For those looking on petfinder, visit your local shelters, that perfect pet on petfinder may not be "the one" when you meet him. We walked 5 other dogs before we decided to bring Shadow home, you never know. Although I think my Girlfreind had her eye on this guy from the moment we walked through the shelter and spotted him.

I say he's a Black lab with a golden retriever coat, :icon_smil can't wait to get him to the lake for swimming. He's so laid back, a little nervous the first day at home with me, but going very well so far.

His paperwork said "he was 'dumped' on a new family and after a month they couldn't handle him anymore" I don't see how, so far he loves to be near you or sleeping on the kitchen floor where it's cooler, and go for walks:thumbsup:

4yrs old, 78lbs:redface: I went to take him over to my Mom's yesterday and he jumped in the truck, my lifted Ram, not even a thought of "boy this is pretty high" one jump and he was in, I just stood there:headscrat
 
kind of looks like a newfoundland.. My parents have one and she's like 150lbs and still growing... I like your new dog though he looks like he would be a good dog.

Haha my Golden just the other day jumper right over the bedside of my s-10 to get in the bed when we were all standing around it bsin the other day haha

Shadow!!!! Took him to the vet in Ypsi for his free initial check-up and he's all good. He's layin' beside me on the floor now watchin' TV with me.
