Adding Insult to Injury....

Most of you know I go racing a lot and have friends who race in both the Truck and Xfinity series. These are very good friends of mine, who live in Lansing.

To add insult to injury – After Chad Finley tries to miss a 10 car crash, he swerves to the infield and folds the splitter under the truck and breaks an oil line and the truck catches fire for a few seconds. The leaving the track, the driver goes thru the wrong tunnel under the track and wrecks the truck and trailer!

Could have been worse. Chalk it up to a bad day! A guy I know just trailered down to southern California to sand drag race and they cancelled the race.... Bad day but it could have been worse! Everything going perfectly at the race track is so rare! Most winners have issues during or leading up to the race.

Fingers crossed on the next one!!

Yeah, but they didn't drive all that way, wreck their $100,000 truck AND wreck a $110,000 trailer on top of the wrecked truck. While having a race cancelled after driving 3,000 miles is pretty disappointing, but it isn't the same as spending upwards of 50K just to race in NASCAR with all of the required support people (12,000 to lease an engine for a single race) and then wrecking everything you have.

If anybody there cared about money they wouldn't be racing. I'm glad nobody died. Other than that... A bad day racing is better than any day working. :)

I am sure even after all of this they are far more well off than I am... That is a Big Money Hobby and sure they have good insurance! Very glad to hear nobody got hurt...

How are ya Gary? Never call me anymore...
