Stupid question but why do you need an optical drive? DVDs are dead! spend like $40 an get an external usb! Or sell this and get something you want.

I bought this same computer a couple days ago, and did the same thing. I use the optical drive to update appraisal software. I was lucky though, the company just started making everything available for download. this computer is nice though, no lag for what I use it for.

And unfortunately, I called Acer, and even though there's a bay for one, they don't make a drive for it (which seems idiotic to me, but...)
Anyway... it's sold!
