ABS and brake light on after brake job

This is on a 99 Ram 2500 4x4 Cummins. I changed the pads and rotors on my truck. As soon as I started it up, the ABS and brake light were on on my dash.I got a code 71 and 73, the 73 went away. I was told it could be from pushing the piston in without cracking the bleeder screw on the caliper, and the dirty fluid went up into the modulator causing a piston to stick in it. Anyone ever have a problem like this? The pump motor also doesn't reset itself like it used to when I turn the key on. I had to remove the wheel speed sensor connector from the hub to get the rotor off, I don't know if that would cause an issue, but I don't see why.

did those have the built in sensor in the pad? if so did you reconnect it? (as far as the actual brake warning light goes)

No sensor in the pad. Just the sensor that plugs into the hub. I had to remove it to get the rotor off the hub but I did re-install it.

I you have a light after remiving and installin a speed sensor at the hub it could be an air gap issue. Did the light com on at key on or did you have to drive it first? It should have a 12v wire and a signal wire. So with a DVOM,Volt meter you should get 12v on 1 wire and the second wire should show nothing or ground. make sure the sensor tip is clean and has no rubb marks. You may have to replace the sensor.

The light came on at key.
