There was a little debate in the for sale area, but I cant post in there. I guess my post count is not high enough. Anyways I was just trying to help someone else out by giving a great deal on a set of 4.10 gears, and someone chimes in asking about my car. Warning, I tend to run-on sentences when in ramble mode!

No prob So i told a little about myself, not much, and got back on point. The thread then continues to get derailed about how my parents paid for my car and so on!

Do you even know how old I am or anything about me? What if im 50+ Just because someone has a nice car it seems that first response is to say, oh his parents paid for it.

I bought the car in October 2004, Out the door cost was 23.5k after rebates and everything, not a terrible deal for the car. I leased it to start off with and bought it in 2006. Still paying, but not much left to go!

Heres a little history on the cars journey.

November 2004 the modding starts. Went with a 4.10 and a cheap cold air intake and some steed under drive pullies, Bassani Exhaust and Xpipe. With a SCT Tune. All done at Livernois Motorsport. I was pretty happy with the result. The 4.10 really made a huge difference and I higly recommend this for a first mod!

In December I decided to get a NX nitrous installed at Livernois, which turns out to be a HUGE mistake. They Insist that I needed CPR Fuel rails to complete the job, which is not true, just about everyone who sees them is like WTF waste of money, and during the install Put a screw through my gas tank! I didn't find that out till later while taking my car in for a annoying gas tank issue where it refuses to fill up fast. it does that gas pump click as if it was full even when my tank is empty. The Dealership ran some tests that brough them to the offending screw. After seeing my Dyno results from a 100 HP shot of NAWWS I seen a 15RWHP gain.... wtf whatever! BTW I have the Dynos to prove that this is the quality of work Livernois is satifisied with. This being my first Nitrous car I though it was normal to have all torque and no hp from a nitrous setup.

Also after the nx install the fuel rail started leaking, another problem that livernois caused, and the offending gas damaged the finish on one of the rails. The Screw in the gas tank required livernois to pick my car up from the ford dealership and flat bed it back to their shop so they can fix the gas tank.

So, no more modding till the summer of 2007! Where after swearing never to goto Livernois I asked around on where to get work done on mustangs. I live in apartments and do not have tools, space, or really the tech knowledge to work on my daily driver, which is neither here nor there. Anyways EVERYONE seems to love Alternative Automotive, so I call Lidio and let him know im very interested in getting a vortec setup with the Meth injection, he quotes me a price.

After the install and 481RWHP later I goto Milan and blow the car up.... so sad. Lido thinks that me running nitrous in the car pretty much sense day 1 weakened the motor, I agree, could also have been my shitty driving. I'm not the best driver but I sure as hell don't mind practicing as much as possible.

I have the car flat bedded to Lidos place so he can take a look at it. he pretty much hooked me up with a new built stroker motor for my car all at cost!! He really saved my ass! Also had some hooker headers put in which saved some money sense most the labor was already done. This was a unanticipated expense that yes I did need help with and thats where my BROTHER lended me the money, which I already paid back.

Through the winter I was looking at what else would help and decided on a Boost A Pump with 60lb injectors and smaller pullies for the vortec, and that was all done in December.

Ill be at Milan for the 1st time this summer June 28th. Ive been a bit nervous to hit the track again after last year. Its really hard getting days off when you have two jobs that are both pretty much full time! I work downtown in the McNamara building, and for fun I work up at Top Gun its a shooting range in Taylor to support my other habbit!

A little about me im 26 Graduated from Wayne State University I also went through School Crafts Police Academy. I'm currently in the hiring process from the US Boarder Patrol. Only a couple more months and I move to AZ!

I've talked with them about this before, they even wanted to see the dyno results that I claimed only recieved the 15rwhp gain from, I sent them the dyno sheets, and never got a response back. They know all about this and every bit is true. Im not spreading Lies about them, just facts. if they dont like it, well not my fault.

As far as the 15 RWHP graph, it's completely wrong. Dan Millen tuned the car on nitrous and it was over 70 RWHP. We have the dyno sheets here to prove it.

Now, for the blower install. Your car obviously was strong enough to withstand over 2 years of nitrous and dyno pull after dyno pull and some abuse at the track with the blower, before the engine broke.

The reason for the engine failure, as with many other blower cars, we will say is because of whoever installed and tuned your blower combination.

By someone trying to pass the blame on someone else, because of their tuning abilities, is not a fair statemment. I don't think Lidio would say this.

Is it possible the nitrous weakend the engine? Yes, but doubtful. We have done several engine swaps for people with blowers, because of broken rods, etc.

The real reason for your engine failure is the blower and something definitely happened with the tune. It's not fair to blame the engine breaking on us.

I understand your frustration with how the car ran with nitrous, but it was the first 2005 we did. If you ever had any trouble, we were always willing to help you and would help you to this day.
