97 Mustang Fan

The electric fan on my 97 mustang turns on before it can get to operating temp, a little before the "N" on normal. any ideas?

coolant temp sensor bad there are prolly 2. Ones for the gauge. Any dummy lights?

If you have the A/C on it might turn on sooner. But like MystryGuy said, maybe the coolant temp sensor. Might want to replace it, after all it's cheap and it's good to know that it's a new sensor.

On this car there are two on the intake, one on the passenger side one on the driver side. Which one is for the gauge?

the one for the gauge usually is just a one wire

If you're running the defrost the a/c compressor will cycle and also turn on the fan. Make sure you check it with the defrost and/or a/c off.
