Not to long ago I picked up this F150 to replace my currently tired daily driver. Its from Georgia so rust, 2wd, Reg Cab, Short box (obviously) with a 5.0L in it. At first when I picked it up I didn't have any plans, but driving it. Apparently I cant leave anything alone, especially when I can see potential.
Day I picked it up :
It was definatley ugly when I brought it home. Nasty stick-on hood scoops that were put on backwards lol. Ugly running boards, lots of flashy trim, and ford stickers all over it.
Shortly after I decided to remove the trim package which consisted of the side moldings and wheel trim, along with the retarded hood scoops and stickers :
Then decided it needed some new wheels, the econolines weren't doing it for me. Ended up going with 20" Boss motorsport 301's. The price was right and I think they look pretty good:
Now with it jacked to the moon and being 2wd, I figured it was time to set it down a little bit. Ended Up purchasing a DJM Suspension 3/5 kit which consists of a rear 5" Flip kit which locates the axle on top of the leaf spring and not under. And the front is 3" beams. Ended up not having enough time last weekend to complete the whole kit but did finish the rear :
Finally had enough time to get the beams done in the front today. What a PITA it was to get the bolt through radius arm, beam, and spring out. heres how it sits today :
Still have to align the front bumper but I'm gonna save that for another weekend. More plans before the winter include : undercoating, roll on bedliner, paint(blue), tint and then I think I will be happy. Oh and a rollpan also.
This one is for the Chebby guys
