95 mustang air leak

i have an intake gasket air leak. i was wondering if that could cause the car to run warmer/lean . i don't think it is losing coolant from the gasket, the coolant level is the same. it seems like it only happens on warmer days. thanks


the car has a chip tune nothing crazy

It could cause it to run lean. It's sucking more air to mix in with your air/fuel ratio leaning it out. It would cause the motor to burn hotter in the chambers.
