94 Mustang Gt Oil pressure question

so my stock gauge reads roughly between straight up on the gauge and low.my question is how low is too low? I do have a mechanical gauge but i have yet to put it in.

Stock gauges are kind of a decoration, lol. I'd hook up the mechanical gauge, see where it's at, and go from there!

yeah that's what i've heard.the car runs fine.and it has a little over 200,000 miles on it

change the sensor , its right next to the oil filter and costs like 10 bucks

no
the stock "gauge" is pretty much useless other then telling you that you have oil pressure and 0 oil pressure, its impossible to gauge exactly how much without an aftermarket gauge

THis..factory gauges on most fords are just idiot lights with needles.

Take out old sending unit (you need some dumb special socket)
Plumb up new mechanical gauge
Use new gauge

FWIW my stock gauge was reading damn near pretty fucking low so i put the mechanical one in bc i was worked and i've got perfect oil pressure.
