Did ya check to see if the plug wires where on right ??? you will see the numbers on the opti......drivers side 1357.......passenger side 2468

I will check that first..like i said i just bought the car with this issue..this is my first lt1 so im clueless about this opti spark system...

Like BC Imp said, check the spark plug leads. The Opti is marked for each cylinder, though it's hard to see. Opti failures are common with the 93's (more so than 94+) the 93's are not vented and are prone to condensation issues that cause erratic ignition and eventually lead to opti-failure...

I am trying to remember how the opti-is indexed to the cam on the 93's, I believe there was still a dowel on the cam to time it to the opti.
I don't miss opti's..

All plugs and wires are correct..how can i upload a vid using tapatalk??? .if i keep foot off pedal it wont start...w.o.t it will barely start and sounds like timings off

Actually, 93 and 94 fbodys used the non vented opti, and it is driven with a splined shaft, the newer vented ones use the dowel

It's possible, I've never done it, but I have heard its not hard to do

You can tear it down and check if you want, pull off the water pump and crank damper, and remove the opti

Did the paper clip and came up with codes 26,41,46 any ideas

26 EVAP purge control solenoid circuit.

41 No ignition control circuit

46 VATS pass key circuit fault

I would guess its VATS related except for the EVAP code. I'd check and see if you have power on any of those circuits, might be a bad power lead or fuse. Not sure if all three components are on the same fuse or not.

Could just be a VATS (Anti Theft) issue.

All the 92-93 LT1 codes HERE

I havent the slightest clue...i fixed all codes and still runs like its out of timing....also looks like timing chain was replaced...my guess it was installed incorrectly...like a tooth off...gonna pull motor next week and do a complete rebuild and see..

Why not just pull the radiator and fans ??? then you can get everything off the front ? Way easier then pulling a motor on a f-body.....unless the motor has a million miles..........
Did you know that theres no key way in the balencer ?? How do you know whitch way to put it back on ??? Do you have a lt1 balencer install tool ??? I think i still have mine......cheap ........I think i might still have my GM lt1 book that i got at the dealership..........cheap.........also make sure you put the dip stick and tube on before you put the oil pan on to check for clearence.......Also before you put the oil pan on you need to put on the oil pump drive in the valley and put the shaft in ......then you can put the pan on.........Also i have a stock lt1 oil pan thats clearenced for a 383ci...and did not leak........i`m just sayin

Rebuild because you think the cam is not.timed right? Jump the gun much?

Heres the thing im not that firmilar with lt1s, optispark, kinda jumping the gun...i got the car cheap and if i do a exact motor swap id have less than $1500 in it...then go from there
